Jason Evitts, Trousdale County Extension Agent lll and County Director, earned the Distinguished Service Award through the Tennessee Association of Agricultural Agents and Specialists for his dedication, leadership and service to the Extension鈥檚 impact across Trousdale County.
Trousdale County resident Melissa Schelah has asked the county commission to vote against authorizing the county mayor to sign the current Tennessee Department of Corrections contract.
Matthew Wright, 44, a Trousdale County Sheriff鈥檚 Department Captain was indicted on February 17, 2026, by a Grand Jury in Trousdale County, to face charges of Sexual Battery, Official Misconduct and Aggravated Assault against a female employee of the department.
